AnalogFX program uses digital signal processing of digitalized sounds to get high quality audio processing. 
It has many filters usefull in processing analog audio tapes or signals from other sources. There is effective Dolby compatible noise reduction and it helps restoring original dynamic and spectrum balance from old audio tapes. There are filters to reproduce frequency normaly muffled on tapes. That gives crystal clear sound like a CD and deep bass .It is even possible to do an extra spectrum oriented noise reduction using Fast Fourier Transform. ..
You can also change the dynamic range of sound by compression filrer or get your microphone sounds as good as radio mic. DSP engine uses (in majority of filters) a digital equivalent of basic analogue RC filters so even on a slow computers it is possible to do realtime preview of multiple filters.
VinylFX is another very interesting filter in AnalogFX - filter that makes music sounds like played in a analogue gramophone  This amazing effect can be done by advanced distortion and harmonic algorithm. Some parts of this algorithm is used in other effect but all has a common usage - manipulating on digitalized sound and they are genious in their simplicity..Those advanced algorithm adds harmonic sounds in high band ,simultaneously is trying to fit amount of lowest frequencies .
